Georgia has formally requested that Germany update outdated information about its leadership on the German Foreign Ministry’s official website, according to Georgian Foreign Minister Natia Bochorishvili.

Bochorishvili said Tbilisi had sent a verbal note to the German Foreign Ministry requesting corrections to the information presented online, Caliber.Az reports via Georgian media.

She noted that previous requests had not received an adequate response from the German side. On March 4, Georgia sent an additional verbal note reiterating the request. According to Bochorishvili, German officials indicated that processing such formal communications typically takes around four weeks.

“If the information in question is not updated within this timeframe, the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will again formally approach the German side in the coming days,” she said.

The issue concerns outdated details currently displayed on the ministry’s website, where Salome Zurabishvili is still listed as president and Ilia Darchiashvili as foreign minister.
