The second half of 2025 saw Traton’s truck sales wither amid challenging global market conditions, but 2026 could see a turnaround. By Will Girling

After a bruising Q3 performance, Traton Group managed to finish 2025 with a slight top-line and unit sales recovery: €11.7bn (down 7.2% year-on-year) and around 81,000 units (down 8.8%). However, despite this, it’s notable that EBIT of €387m in Q4 was almost a 60% YoY decline and among its worst drop offs during the year; evidently, the global market is no less challenging.
