Hell’s Kitchen is about to get a new grocery option — and before the doors open on Friday morning, W42ST was given a behind-the-scenes tour of ALDI’s first Midtown location.

The store sits downstairs beneath The Ellery at 311 W42nd Street, close enough to Times Square to catch tourists, but clearly pitched at New Yorkers who need an affordable place to buy eggs, milk, produce, meat, cheese and the weekly basics without feeling mugged at the checkout.
