Eon Awa proudly displays his flair for the theatrical with his stylish new pop EP Drama — showcasing today on Tinnitist.

The pop artist, composer, and creative director continues to establish himself as one of the most compelling emerging voices in Switzerland’s contemporary music landscape. Known for his striking vocal range, moving effortlessly from grounded lows to ethereal highs, Awa blends emotional depth with refined pop sensibility and bold artistic direction.

On stage, Awa delivers performances defined by elegance, emotional intensity, and a commanding presence that recalls internationally acclaimed acts. His live reputation has been steadily built through notable achievements, including winning the finale of BandX Nordwest, reaching the final rounds of both the Tour Music Festival in San Marino and Le Tremplin, and performing as a support act for Crimer, as well as sharing stages with established Swiss artists Sina and Anna Rossinelli.

At the core of his artistic output is a close creative partnership with his childhood friend and pianist Ben. Together, they write and produce music that balances emotional honesty with wit and lightness, often exploring the tension between identity and conformity. Their work reflects a continuous dialogue between vulnerability and self-definition, expressed through layered pop, soul, and funk influences.

Awa’s sound sits at the intersection of pop, soul and funk, drawing comparisons to artists such as Raye, Sam Smith, Hurts and Freddie Mercury. His songs reinforce his fluid approach to storytelling and audience connection. With this release, Awa further defines his artistic identity as a songwriter unafraid to explore emotional contradiction, balancing intimacy with theatricality, and personal reflection with universal themes.
