A popular baby item sold at Aldi has been recalled over fears it could cause serious injuries.
The Nuby Foldable baby bathtub was only sold on Special Buys for $24.99 from July 4 to July 6, but was available at supermarkets across the country.
But the consumer watchdog has revealed why it’s unsuitable for babies and infants.
“This product does not comply with the mandatory standard for baby bath aids,” the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) said.

“Permanent warning labels are missing, and consumers may not be aware of important safety information about the use of the product.”
Because of these issues, there is a risk of “serious injury or death from drowning” if parents or guardians don’t use the product as intended.
No adverse incidents have been recorded.

The bathtub doesn’t adhere to mandatory standards and is being recalled.
Customers have been advised to “stop using the bathtub immediately” and to return the item to any Aldi supermarket for a full refund.
