Around 150 DMC Production Germany employees supported the production of more than 1,000 hours of live content across the tournament

DMC Production Germany has revealed details of its work to support MagentaTV’s coverage of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Acting on behalf of thinXpool TV, DMC Production Germany played a key role as studio partner and technical service provider for MagentaTV in its delivery of the broadcast production.

Providing the foundation for more than 1,000 hours of live content produced in UHD and HDR with Dolby Atmos, the partners created the MagentaTV World Cup Studio in Munich. The flexible, loft-style facility featured state-of-the-art broadcast technology to support a broad range of live production scenarios throughout the competition, said the company.

Combining with MagentaTV’s rooftop studio in New York, the Munich facility formed a sophisticated architecture enabling analysis segments, live reports and on-site coverage from North America. TV Skyline provided signal acquisition and delivery from the US with one of the main challenges being integration of diverse production environments. Broadcast format and editorial requirements, signal paths and production workflows had to be adapted within very short timeframes, said the company.

Up to 65 individual signals for each match were processed across a range of workflows, while backup and disaster recovery concepts ensured coverage was uninterrupted. DMC Production Germany was responsible for the majority of broadcast operations, including the Master Control Room, playout, live production galleries, ingest, signal management, the conversion centre, live audio production and the implementation of graphics throughout.

Around 150 DMC Production Germany employees were deployed, with the company providing studio and control room technology, lighting systems, scenic construction and a range of operational services.

Dr Holger Enßlin, MD, DMC Production Germany GmbH, said, “A production of this scale is only possible when technology, workflows and people work together seamlessly. We are particularly proud that the different production environments were successfully brought together into a single, integrated production platform. My sincere thanks go to our approximately 150 employees, as well as to MagentaTV and our client thinXpool, for their trust and the outstanding collaboration throughout this project.”
