Cookie and snack maker Griesson – de Beukelaer is locating a new operation in Madison County, Mississippi. The family-owned company based in Germany is planning a corporate investment of more than $70 million and will create 30 new jobs.
The project marks Griesson – de Beukelaer’s first investment in Mississippi and primarily includes the construction of a new state-facility slated for between 130,000 to 150,000 square feet in Madison, where the company will manufacture cookies and other snack products. The company also is acquiring an existing facility in Gluckstadt, where a portion of the investment will be used for renovations and innovation.

The Mississippi Development Authority is providing assistance for the project through the Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentive, or MFLEX, program. Madison County and the Madison County Economic Development Authority are also assisting with the project.
