FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – In case you missed the first round of Grocery Tracker year 2, here’s what you need to know.
We’re shopping at new storesAldi: 4750 Coldwater RoadKroger: 5725 Coventry LaneWalmart: 10105 Lima Road
21Investigates spent 52 weeks comparing prices at the South Gate Kroger, Apple Glen Walmart and Illinois Road Meijer.
Since Walmart was the cheapest store most often, we decided to let that brand try and defend the title from a different location.
Kroger has the most locations of any grocery store in the Summit City, so that brand stays on the roster for another year, too.
In response to many viewer requests, Aldi has taken the place of Meijer.

We’ve kept the items from last year’s list that shifted most often, and added new items that often tell us a lot about the world economy just by their price tag.
We’re also dumping all national brands in favor of finding the lowest possible prices with store brands, private labels and generics.
