Four South London neighbourhoods could get new Aldi stores as the supermarket chain plans its expansion.
Aldi is looking to bring new stores to South London as part of its continued UK expansion, with four neighbourhoods identified as priority locations for potential future supermarkets.
The discount supermarket is searching for suitable sites across Greater London as it aims to provide more affordable shopping options to local communities while also creating new jobs.

Aldi said the expansion would create new employment opportunities in the areas where stores open, with the supermarket remaining the UK’s highest-paying supermarket.
Store assistants earn from £13.50 per hour nationally and £14.88 within the M25, rising further with length of service.
Unlike confirmed store openings, Aldi has not yet announced specific locations for new branches, but it is inviting landowners and agents to put forward suitable opportunities in the areas it has highlighted.
The supermarket chain is seeking freehold, leasehold or long leasehold sites in prominent locations with good visibility and access, as it continues its wider expansion plans across the country.
Jonathan Neale, managing director of national real estate at Aldi UK, said: “We know how important it is for people to have access to affordable, high-quality food close to where they live, which is why we’re focused on identifying the communities that would benefit most from a new Aldi store.
“Opening new stores in these areas means we can bring great value to more customers, while also creating jobs and offering industry-leading pay.”
The plans form part of Aldi’s wider UK expansion, with the supermarket investing more than £370 million in new stores this year as it works towards its long-term target of 1,500 locations nationwide.
The retailer is continuing to grow its presence across the UK, with the new store drive aimed at making its products available to more shoppers while supporting local economies through investment and employment.
