A new $19 million manufacturing facility is coming to Tarrant County.
Siemens Corp. announced Friday that it will build a 96,000-square-foot facility at 901 E. Avenue K in west Grand Prairie that will expand the company’s capacity for electrical products and create about 160 new jobs around building infrastructure components for data centers, automotive companies, healthcare providers and semiconductor manufacturing.
The company currently has two other facilities in Grand Prairie, both of which are low-voltage electrical equipment factories, as well as a $190 million factory at 7200 Harris Legacy Drive at Carter Park East in south Fort Worth. That site opened in 2025 and employs over 1,000 workers spanning two shifts.
The facility is one of two announced Friday by Siemens, representing a combined investment of over $200 million, according to a news release. The company also plans to build a new 550,000-square-foot facility in Pendergrass, Georgia.
The new Grand Prairie facility will increase the capacity of its nearby factory as a dedicated location for factory acceptance testing — a quality check performed by a manufacturer — and warehousing for Siemens’ electrical products. The site will use the company’s 3D modeling software to simulate production lines for new layouts, logistics and workstation planning.
Ann Fairchild, Siemens USA president and CEO, said the investments underscore the company’s commitment to scaling American manufacturing capacity.
“There is unprecedented demand for critical infrastructure here in the U.S., and we’re proud to continue to expand our footprint to meet our customers’ needs while boosting the economies of the local communities in which we’re growing,” she said in a statement.
The company said its investment reinforces its commitment to Grand Prairie and the region’s growing role as a hub for advanced manufacturing and critical infrastructure.
Barry Powell, North American president of Siemens Electrical Products, said Texas, along with Georgia, offer strong business environments, access to a highly skilled workforce, and close proximity to the company’s existing operations and supply chain network across the South.
“Building these facilities strengthen our ability to serve customers more efficiently while expanding advanced manufacturing capacity in a region that is already home to many of the technicians, suppliers and industry expertise that support our business,” Powell said.
