Siemens will invest more than $200 million in new facilities in Georgia and in Texas, expanding its U.S. electrical infrastructure manufacturing capacity. Building on its recent milestone of investing more than $1 billion in U.S. manufacturing over the past five years, the company plans to create more than 1,500 jobs at a new facility in Pendergrass, Georgia and an expanded site in Grand Prairie, Texas.

The majority of the investment — upwards of $185 million — is slated for a new 550,000-square-foot manufacturing facility at its Georgia site. At this facility, Siemens will produce critical low voltage electrical infrastructure products and systems for the data center market. The company expects to create 1,400 jobs for this operation.
Siemens has operated in Georgia for more than 140 years, currently supporting more than 1,700 employees across two manufacturing facilities and six offices in the state, including its Peachtree Corners Electrical Products facility.
Assistant Director of Statewide Projects Elizabeth McLean represented the Georgia Department of Economic Development’s (GDEcD) Global Commerce team on this competitive project in partnership with the Jackson County Area Chamber of Commerce, Jackson County Industrial Development Authority, Georgia Power, and Georgia Quick Start.
In Texas, Siemens is developing a $19 million facility in Grand Prairie to increase the capacity of its nearby flagship switchgear factory to support semiconductor, automotive, healthcare and other industrial and infrastructure markets requiring critical power. The 96,000-square-foot site will be a dedicated location for factory acceptance testing and warehousing for Siemens’ Electrical Products business.
“Georgia and Texas were a natural choice for our next manufacturing investments. These states offer strong business environments, access to a highly skilled workforce, and close proximity to our existing operations and supply chain network across the South,” said Barry Powell, North America President of the Siemens Electrical Products business unit.
“Building these facilities strengthen our ability to serve customers more efficiently while expanding advanced manufacturing capacity in a region that is already home to many of the technicians, suppliers and industry expertise that support our business,” he added.
Jobs at these locations will include fabrication, assembly, material handling, testing, and engineering roles with hiring beginning at the Grand Prairie location in late 2026 and the Pendergrass site in 2027.
