Aldi’s wide selection of meat has taken the crown in a major Finder survey.
The consumer group interviewed more than 50,000 everyday Aussies about the products they love and hate across all supermarkets.
Every part of the household was covered in the investigation, but when it came to meat, the low-cost brand beat out the likes of Coles, Woolworths, IGA, and others.

“We’re proud to be recognised by Australian shoppers for delivering quality meat at affordable prices,” Simon Padovani-Ginies, Aldi Australia’s group director, said.
“From the family barbecue to the midweek dinner rush, Australians are telling us Aldi meat delivers where it matters most: quality, taste and value.”
In Finder’s survey, Aldi won in 75 per cent of the categories across beef, chicken, fish, ham, lamb, and pork.

What meat accolades did Aldi win in the 2026 Supermarket Customer Satisfaction Awards?
The award categories were Most Loved, Top Value, Top Quality, and Most Recommended, and in some cases, the supermarket picked up all four.
This includes the best beef, beef burger, mince, roast, and sausages. Chicken was also a standout for Aldi, taking home all four gongs for best breast, burger, mince, and thigh, and wing.
But it was undefeated in the ham and lamb categories.
Taylor Blackburn, personal finance specialist at Finder, said Aldi’s stellar performance proves one thing.

“When products sweep awards, it’s clear consumers feel they are getting bang for their buck at the checkout,” he said.
“Winning 75 per cent of the meat awards isn’t just about offering low prices – although that helps when you weigh up value – it’s about providing products that actually deliver on quality.”
Aldi’s impressive run in Finder’s 2026 Supermarket Customer Satisfaction Awards comes off the back of an equally stupendous result last year.
It was the winner in four categories, lamb, chicken, seafood and fish, in Canstar Blue’s annual Supermarket Meat Awards in November.
