At EV Trend Korea 2026, a dedicated electric vehicle exhibition held at COEX in Seoul from the 25th to the 27th, five domestic and international automakers will showcase a total of 12 electrified vehicles. From compact electric SUVs to flagship sedans, electric pickups, and purpose-built vehicles (PBVs), the electrified lineup will be on full display.

According to the automaker exhibition lineup released by COEX on the 14th, this year’s event will feature five brands: Kia, KG Mobility (KGM), Volvo Car Korea, BMW, and BYD. Hosted by South Korea’s Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment and co-organized by the Korea Battery Industry Association, COEX, and the Korea Automobile Environment Association, the exhibition will be held as part of “Future Mobility Week 2026,” alongside the “2026 Autonomous Mobility Industry Fair” and the “2026 Unmanned Systems Industry Expo × Civil-Military Cooperation Expo.”

Kia will exhibit the EV3, a dedicated compact electric SUV; the EV5, an electrified family SUV; and the PV5 Passenger, a PBV. The lineup spans from a small electrified SUV built on a dedicated EV platform to a mid-size electrified SUV and a PBV maximizing space utilization, covering everyday use, leisure, and business applications.

KGM will showcase the Actyon Hybrid, an urban SUV; the Torres EVX, an electric SUV; and the Musso EV, an electric pickup. The Actyon Hybrid features a dual-tech hybrid system that can operate in EV mode for up to 94% of urban driving. The Torres EVX is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) blade battery, while the Musso EV combines the cargo and utility advantages unique to pickups with the benefits of electric vehicles, presenting a new option in the electrified pickup segment.

Volvo Car Korea will display the EX90, a flagship electric SUV, and the ES90, a flagship electric sedan. Both models feature the “Hugin Core,” comprising an electric architecture, core computer, zone controllers, and software. They are designed as software-defined vehicles (SDVs) capable of continuously improving functionality, performance, and safety technologies through over-the-air updates.

BMW will exhibit the i5, a premium all-electric sedan, and The New BMW iX3, a next-generation premium all-electric SAV. The New BMW iX3 is the first production model of BMW’s next-generation electrification strategy, “Neue Klasse,” and will introduce BMW’s future electrification vision at this event.

BYD Korea will offer an experience based on two electrification technologies: pure electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids (PHEVs). The company will display the Atto 3, a pure electric SUV, and the Sealion 6 DM-i, a mid-size SUV featuring BYD’s proprietary PHEV technology.

Separate from the automaker exhibitions, the test-drive program “EV Ride 2026” will operate around COEX during the event period. The test-drive lineup consists of six models: The New BMW iX3, BMW iX, Musso EV, Sealion 6 DM-i, Seal, and Sealion 7. Test drives are available to visitors who have completed advance registration and received confirmation, with on-site registration possible for remaining slots.

A COEX official said, “This year’s automaker lineup demonstrates that electric vehicles are expanding beyond everyday passenger cars into diverse mobility needs and application areas such as PBVs, pickups, and premium SUVs.” The official added, “We hope visitors will explore the distinct character and appeal of each brand’s electrified vehicles in one place and experience the current state of electrified mobility more vividly through the separate test-drive program.”
