Lufthansa is currently facing a local and temporary shortage of jet fuel with its suppliers at Windhoek Airport in Namibia, the airline said on Thursday.

Flight departure times are not currently affected, it said, adding that a fuel stopover at other locations would be required in some cases for flights to Europe.

Its fuel procurement team and ground staff are currently exploring all possibilities to reestablish normal supply, Lufthansa said.
