Veteran point guard Dennis Schroder, the most recent Charlotte Hornets addition this offseason, suited up Friday for his home country of Germany in the 2026 DBB Supercup. The 2025 EuroBasket gold medalist was a force to be reckoned with as Germany dominated the Czech Republic 115-82.
Schroder was the only player to tally a double-double, scoring 17 points on 3-for-7 shooting from 3-point range to go along with 10 assists and two rebounds. He finished with a plus-minus of +23, the second-highest mark of any player. Orlando Magic forward Tristan da Silva impressed as well, posting 13 points, four rebounds and three assists in 20 minutes of play.
Following the victory, Germany will face Croatia Saturday in the DBB Supercup final after Croatia narrowly defeated Turkey 95-94. Cleveland Cavaliers forward Mario Hezonja was the hero for Croatia, scoring 37 points, which included a game-winning 3-pointer.
