Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) will acquire 100 per cent of MHP, Porsche AG’s management and IT consulting subsidiary, for an enterprise value of €320 million as part of a wider five-year strategic partnership with the German luxury carmaker.
The acquisition, approved by the board of TCS Netherlands B.V., a wholly owned subsidiary of TCS, is expected to close within three to four months, subject to customary closing conditions.
Alongside the acquisition, Porsche and TCS have signed a five-year strategic agreement worth €1.25 billion. The partnership will focus on the use of artificial intelligence across Porsche’s engineering, manufacturing, operations, customer experience and enterprise transformation activities.
As part of the deal, TCS will set up a dedicated AI Mobility Centre of Excellence for Porsche. The centre will focus on developing and scaling AI applications across manufacturing and operations, engineering and customer experience, with an emphasis on secure and scalable solutions.
Headquartered in Ludwigsburg, Germany, MHP specialises in automotive and industrial consulting, digital transformation, AI, SAP transformation, manufacturing digitalisation, connected mobility and software-defined mobility.
The company employs around 4,500 people and recorded a turnover of €742 million in calendar year 2025. It has operations across Germany, Romania, the UK, the US, India and Mexico.
For TCS, the acquisition is expected to strengthen its presence in Germany and expand its access to European automotive and industrial customers.
The deal also comes as automakers and technology companies increasingly focus on software, artificial intelligence and data-driven operations across the vehicle lifecycle.
“As AI, software, and data redefine the automotive industry, this partnership brings together TCS’ capabilities in AI, engineering, technology and business transformation with MHP’s strong automotive consulting expertise,” said K. Krithivasan, CEO and Managing Director, Tata Consultancy Services.
Michael Leiters, CEO of Porsche AG, said the transfer of MHP to TCS is another step in Porsche’s strategy of focusing on its core business. He said combining Porsche’s automotive expertise with TCS’ digital technology and AI capabilities would help strengthen innovation, improve efficiency and competitiveness as the mobility industry becomes increasingly software- and data-driven.
