Fall is here and that means we’re switching gears into all things cozy and warm. ALDI didn’t waste any time. As soon as August ended, out came the autumnal merch. That includes this 2026 limited edition Flavors of Fall Coffee Collection.

The box contains 12 coffee pods, each promising to capture the essence of the season. Let’s find out if they do.

While brewing, this gives off a strong apple cider aroma. Promising! Then I taste the coffee and it’s burnt. Bit like dinking a forest fire. I’ll generously say that once the smoke settles, an apple cinnamon taste lingers behind. Milk offsets some of the smokiness, but not much.
Cinnamon hazelnut
Not much of a smell while brewing, so my exceptions were low. Surprise! This was quite smooth and pleasant tasting. The hazelnut flavor is not shy. However, I have to send a search party to find that cinnamon.
Chocolate fudge brownie
Smells like a chocolate fudge brownie. Taste like coffee and a chocolate fudge brownie. No issues here. The milk subdues the flavor to a childish chocolate milk with a little coffee thrown in so I’d take recommend drinking this without.

The distinctive smell of pecans fills the kitchen. After a quick hit of burnt coffee, a clear pecan flavor makes its way to the forefront. By adding milk you really only taste coffee and pecan. It’s fall in a (cheap) cup.
Coconut macaroon
Weak coffee. That’s all you get here. This one doesn’t taste like a fireplace, which is nice. However there is no coconut. There is no macaroon. Just a mug of disappointment.
Salted caramel
Good news! It smells like caramel. Bad news! It doesn’t taste like caramel. I added milk and, if you pressed me, I’d say I was maybe 10% sure I could taste something claiming to be caramel. But that’s probably wishful thinking.
Pumpkin pie
ALDI knew better than to mess with people’s pumpkin spice addiction. You get that classic fall flavor here in spades. As a treat, you also get an odd aftertaste, but that fades if you add some milk.
Update: The more you drink the more artificial it tastes.
Maple pecan
Pancakes. The smell is giving Mrs. Butterworth on a Saturday morning. The taste doesn’t disappoint. It’s a A nutty, maple-ly cup of coffee with a hint of burnt toast. Milk dilutes this too much, and you’re better off drinking it black.
Vanilla nut pumpkin pie
There’s vanilla and then there is fake vanilla. This is the latter. It’s got a weird medicinal taste and smell. I can’t taste the pumpkin or nut. I wonder if combining the flavors resulted in this odd flavor. Milk will help this otherwise trash cup of coffee, but it won’t save it.
Oatmeal cookie
Delightful cookie smells arise from a freshly steaming cup. I’m talking vanilla icing and butter. It tastes very good on its own and even better with milk, becoming almost decadently rich. This is a cup I am able to finish.
Caramel crumb bun
Smells a bit like caramel and butter. Tastes like neither. When pressed I will say there is an aftertaste that is pretending to be caramel but something is off. Milk changed everything. By some alchemy the milk brings out both the caramel and the buttery brioche elements. I’m suspicious, but pleased in the end.
Cinnamon sticky bun
Strong scent of cinnamon and melted butter assert themselves from the get-go. I taste mostly cinnamon when drunk black, but with milk you get that melted butter note too. I’m really learning a baked good-themed coffee needs milk, at least in this ALDI collection of fall-flavored coffee pods.

Some of these coffees hit the spot, while others were plain awful. If you use coffee pods at home, then there’s no harm in trying this Flavors of Fall Coffee Collection from ALDI.
