Cube is offering a new e-bike
Cube has introduced the Touring Hybrid Deluxe SLX 800 2027, a versatile e-bike that substitutes a conventional chain for a low-maintenance carbon belt drive. Equipped with a Bosch mid-drive motor, full mudguards, a luggage rack, and an integrated lighting system, the bike is built to serve as a practical all-rounder.
Designed for day-to-day commuting and long-distance touring, the Cube Touring Hybrid Deluxe SLX 800 2027 features an SR Suntour NVX-32 LO Air suspension fork with 100 mm of travel up front. While Cube opted for a hardtail setup without rear suspension, the air fork, combined with Schwalbe Motion Big Apple touring tires, provides a comfortable ride over paved roads and light gravel tracks. Stopping power is delivered by Shimano BR-MT200 hydraulic disc brakes paired with 180 mm rotors at both the front and rear.
At the core of the e-bike is a powerful Bosch Performance Line PX mid-drive motor outputting 85 Nm of torque, ensuring ample assistance on steep inclines. Powering the system is a high-capacity 800 Wh battery, which, alongside the sturdy aluminum frame and comprehensive touring gear, brings the total weight to 27.9 kg. Shifting is handled by a low-maintenance 5-speed Shimano Nexus internal gear hub coupled with the Gates carbon belt drive. The Cube Touring Hybrid Deluxe SLX 800 2027 is now available in Germany, priced at €3,399, with availability expanding to other international markets.

I have been active as a journalist for over 10 years, most of it in the field of technology.
