Aldi stores across Oxfordshire will be closed on Boxing Day to give staff extra time off with their families.
The supermarket chain, which will also close its doors on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, will reopen to customers on December 27 and January 2.
Rachel Geary, communications director at Aldi UK, said: “Christmas is a special time for our customers, but it is also one of the busiest periods of the year for our teams.
“Our colleagues work incredibly hard to ensure customers can pick up everything they need ahead of the big day. We never take that effort for granted.

“Closing our stores on Boxing Day is one way of saying thank you and giving colleagues a proper chance to rest, switch off and spend more time with the people closest to them.”
In the lead-up to Christmas, opening hours will vary by location, with many stores extending their hours to help shoppers prepare for the festive season.
Customers are advised to use the Aldi Store Finder closer to the date for the latest information.
Aldi store assistants in Oxfordshire currently earn £13.50 per hour, rising to £14.47 with length of service.
Aldi remains the only major supermarket to offer paid breaks, which are estimated to be worth around £1,500 per year to the average store colleague.
