Pumpkin spice is a fall classic for a reason. Made up of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, and sometimes allspice, its cozy, spiced flavor elevates lattes, baked goods, and even cocktails. But even as a pumpkin spice lover, I have to admit it can get a little tiring during the fall season. After all, one can only drink so many PSLs.
That’s where apple comes in. While I wouldn’t call it an underrated flavor—apple pie is often compared with pumpkin pie this time of year—it certainly offers a distinct, more refreshing flavor profile, especially when paired with flavors like cinnamon and caramel.
From Dollar Tree’s Apple Cinnamon Twists to Oreo’s Apple Pie a la Mode cookie, brands are churning out apple-inspired treats almost as fast as you can say “fall.” And, if you’re like me and need some more apple vibes in your life, you’ll be pleased to know that Aldi just brought back one of its most beloved apple cinnamon desserts.
Aldi’s Specially Selected Apple Cinnamon Brioche Ring Returns
I look forward to Aldi Finds every week, but this time of year, they’re better than ever. This month, we’ve already been graced with the presence of fall-inspired Benton’s Soft Baked Cookies, Specially Selected Fall Harvest Mac and Cheese, and a handful of Halloween-inspired seasonal cheeses—and it’s only the beginning of September.

While the lineup is already enough to satisfy my fall cravings, Aldi outdid itself this week by bringing back its fan-favorite Apple Cinnamon Brioche Ring. This bakery treat is exactly what it sounds like: a ring of seven brioche swirls filled with a sweet apple cinnamon filling. Weighing just over a pound (17.6 ounces, to be precise), the brioche ring costs $5.49.
A handful of Aldi’s Specially Selected products are made in France, including this one. While that distinction doesn’t automatically mean it’s good, we’ve thoroughly enjoyed Aldi’s other brioche products—such as its Christmas tree brioche and brioche rolls—so it’s safe to say this is a solid brioche product, too.
Not convinced? Take it from other Aldi shoppers, who have praised the brioche ring in previous years: “I had such a hard time sharing!!” one Redditor wrote, while an Aldi fan on Facebook called them “very very fluffy and yummy.”
Other shoppers noted the product’s popularity at their local Aldi. One wrote, “The day they dropped, I went at 3 p.m. and there were only two left on the shelf.”
“I only saw it once. Went back and they were gone. Have been restocked, but sold out again,” mentioned another.
So, if you want to try the brioche ring, you should probably hit your local Aldi ASAP.
Beyond loving the brioche ring as is, fans have enthusiastically shared ways to elevate this fall treat. From making French toast and bread pudding to topping it with cream cheese frosting, the possibilities are endless. I’ll certainly be picking up one to satisfy my apple cravings, and given their popularity, you probably should, too.
