Completion of the transaction remains subject to customary regulatory approvals and other standard closing conditions. The acquisition marks Everfield’s further investment in OT security and strengthens its presence in the DACH region.

Everfield, a buy-and-hold investor in European B2B SaaS businesses, has agreed to acquire Rhebo, a German technology company specialising in security monitoring and anomaly detection in industrial (OT) networks and IIoT environments.

Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Leipzig, Rhebo offers OT monitoring and anomaly detection to critical infrastructure providers and large enterprise customers. Its solutions enable industrial companies and operators to detect anomalies and cyber threats across their OT networks and IIoT edge devices without interfering with ongoing operations.

With evolving regulations such as NIS2 and the Cyber Resilience Act, industrial operators are under increasing pressure to strengthen the security and resilience across connected infrastructure. Rhebo supports these requirements by providing continuous network monitoring and actionable insights tailored to industrial environments.

“With a strong market position in DACH and deep technical expertise in OT security, Rhebo adds a critical capability to our ecosystem,” says Oscar Koberling, Country Manager for DACH at Everfield. “We see a lot of opportunity in Rhebo given our experience in helping B2B software businesses grow and further improving their best-in-class product to continue serving its customers.”

As part of the Everfield ecosystem, Rhebo will continue to advance its technology in response to evolving threat landscapes, regulatory developments, and growing market demand. The existing management team, led by CEO Gerald Müller, will remain in place and continue to support customers and partners, backed by Everfield’s established team in the DACH region. Rhebo’s headquarters and all development and technology will remain in Leipzig, Germany.

Rhebo has been part of the Swiss-listed Landis+Gyr Group since 2021. The transaction to Everfield follows a strategic realignment of the parent company and enables Rhebo to continue its development under Everfield’s long-term ownership.

“As part of sharpening our strategic focus on our core business, Landis+Gyr decided to carve out our Rhebo OT security product division and transfer it to a strong European investor”, added Todd Wiedman, CEO of Rhebo from 2023 to 2026 and CISO of Landis+Gyr. “With Everfields dedicated resources, deep expertise, and clear commitment to the EMEA market, we are very confident that the OT security business is ideally positioned to accelerate growth and deliver greater value to customers across the region.”

With Rhebo joining the group, Everfield adds dedicated OT security expertise to its Business and Industrial Systems vertical, complementing existing OT software capabilities, including ondeso, a Regensburg-based OT management software provider. The acquisition reinforces Everfield’s commitment to the DACH region and further grows its European ecosystem, which now includes more than 40 B2B software companies across Europe and 10 in the DACH region.

“In Everfield, we have found a partner whose ecosystem and expertise will provide us with optimal support for our continued growth,” said Gerald Müller, former COO and CEO of Rhebo since 2026. “The investment focus on European B2B software companies is also a clear commitment and a strong opportunity for us to advance European digital sovereignty.”

Industrial Cyber News Desk

Industrial Cyber News Desk

Everfield Germany GmbH has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Rhebo GmbH.
