A top British singer is to RUN from Berlin <\/a>back to London <\/a>after finishing his European tour. Jack Cullen is to run the equivalent 22 marathons<\/a> in 22 days in an extraordinary feat of endurance. In fact he will run an ultra marathon – which is more than 26.2 miles – every single 24 hours. The distance from the German <\/a>capital to London is just over 700 miles. When Jack reaches London he will then go on stage at a venue in Hackney and finish his tour in front of hundreds of loyal fans and many friends and family. Jack starts his gruelling fund-raising run on Friday.<\/p>\n

He told the Mirror<\/a>: \u201cThere\u2019ll be pain, chaos, laughter and probably an unhealthy amount of bakery stops along the way. I basically can\u2019t wait to eat an extreme amount of doughnuts!<\/p>\n

\u201cThe preparation for this \u2018adventure\u2019 hasn\u2019t exactly gone to plan \u2014 I tore a ligament in my ankle a few months out, so compared to previous challenges I\u2019m going in pretty blind. But honestly, that\u2019s part of what excites me. It feels like a real adventure.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy brother mapped the route from my gig in Germany back to London for my show on June 12th, and now it\u2019s just me, my best mate, my sister as crew, and a lot of miles ahead of us.\u201d He added: \u201cI\u2019m doing this to step away from the noise a bit, reconnect with myself, and hopefully come back inspired to write new music. Movement and music have always been the two things that help me feel grounded, which is why I\u2019m also raising money for Mind alongside the challenge.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jack, 30, from Bishop\u2019s Stortford, Herts is signed with the Sony RCA label and is playing a string of sell-out gigs. After each day\u2019s running he will be staying on campsites and small hotels preparing for the next day\u2019s challenge.<\/p>\n

As a former professional rugby player, he turned to songwriting after injury cut his career short, building a following through a combination of live performance and endurance-led projects.<\/p>\n

In May 2024, he released his debut EP \u201812\u2019 while completing 12 marathons in 12 days to raise funds for cancer research. The challenge drew significant public support and helped establish his audience. That experience directly led to his breakout single \u2018All I Need\u2019 .<\/p>\n

Jack followed his TikTok success with a 650-mile cycle from Edinburgh to Glastonbury Festival, performing impromptu sets in locations ranging from run clubs to yoga studios and cold-water groups along the route, before making his festival debut to a packed crowd and the nation\u2019s awaiting media.<\/p>\n

Jack won International rugby honours at age group level: three Ireland U-18 club caps; two Ireland U-19 and nine Ireland U-20.<\/p>\n
