With former factory driver and current brand ambassador J\u00f6rg Bergmeister behind the wheel of a trio of 911s outfitted with performance-enhancing Manthey Kits, each car turned some blistering laps.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"587986\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/PCNA26_0284_fine_lede1.jpg\" alt=\"Porsche 911 Manthey Road Atlanta\" class=\"wp-image-587986\"   data-recalc-dims=\"1\"\/>Porsche<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"587805\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Porsche-Manthey-RA-1.jpeg\" alt=\"Porsche Manthey Road Atlanta\" class=\"wp-image-587805\"   data-recalc-dims=\"1\"\/>Porsche<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"587812\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/911GT2RS-Porsche-Manthey-RA-4.jpeg\" alt=\"Porsche 911 GT2 RS Manthey Road Atlanta\" class=\"wp-image-587812\"   data-recalc-dims=\"1\"\/>Porsche<\/p>\n<p>Quickest of all was a 991.2-generation 2019 911 GT2 RS with the Manthey Kit and running on Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, which set a new production-car lap record of 1:22.649, besting the 1:22.80 set in 2025 in a Corvette ZR1 and toppling the previous fast time for a 911 GT2 RS, 1:24.88, set back in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven almost 10 years after its introduction, the power delivery of the twin-turbo flat-six engine is still thrilling,\u201d Bergmeister said. \u201cThe enhancements to chassis and increased amount of downforce allowed me to carry speed deep into the corners and accelerate early, giving me great confidence\u2014which is also a benefit for regular drivers who take to the track.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/911GT3RS-Porsche-Manthey-RA-2.jpeg\" alt=\"Porsche 911 GT3 RS Manthey Road Atlanta\" class=\"wp-image-587817\"  \/>Porsche<\/p>\n<p>In a 2025 911 GT3 RS (992.1 generation), the quick German turned a lap of 1:23.932, which makes it the fastest naturally aspirated machine around Road Atlanta. In this application, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hagerty.com\/media\/news\/manthey-911-gt3-rs-will-keep-the-daytona-field-in-line\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the Manthey Kit<\/a> outfits the Porsche with revised aerodynamic elements, which translate to a bigger rear wing and diffuser, a new front splitter, underbody updates, and drag-reducing rear wheels. Improved suspension and braking are also part of the package, which together will generate up to 2200 pounds of downforce.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe downforce of this car is simply incredible,\u201d said Bergmeister. \u201cCornering speeds are on the level of GT-class race cars. The suspension soaks up curbs really well and helps to extract the maximum potential from this impressive package, and the braking is on another level.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/911GT3-Porsche-Manthey-RA-1-Large.jpeg\" alt=\"Porsche 911 GT3 Manthey Road Atlanta\" class=\"wp-image-587814\"  \/>Porsche<\/p>\n<p>Finally, Bergmeister set out in the latest 911 GT3 (992.2), also outfitted with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hagerty.com\/media\/news\/porsche-911-gt3-manthey-kit-pictures-specs\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Manthey enhancements<\/a>. In this he achieved a time of 1:24.639, a full 1.8 seconds faster than a 2022 911 GT3 that lapped the track several years ago. Like the GT3 RS above, this GT3 was shod with Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS tires. <\/p>\n<p>German firm Manthey has partnered with Porsche for several years, providing the carmaker with track-oriented kits for the 911. The kits are currently offered for sale at 77 Manthey-certified Porsche Centers in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=7KHde5avjiE\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">absolutely bonkers<\/a> track record at Road Atlanta is 1:01.2, set in 2018 by racer Marc Gene in a Ferrari F2003-GA Formula 1 car.
