{"id":22072,"date":"2026-05-24T01:12:35","date_gmt":"2026-05-24T01:12:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/22072\/"},"modified":"2026-05-24T01:12:35","modified_gmt":"2026-05-24T01:12:35","slug":"munich-res-hsb-managing-director-terry-dyson-to-retire-in-march","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/22072\/","title":{"rendered":"Munich Re&#8217;s HSB Managing Director Terry Dyson to retire in March"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>HSB (UK &amp; Ireland), a provider of engineering insurance and inspection services, has announced that Terry Dyson, the Managing Director, has decided to retire at the end of March 2026.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-130021\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/hsb-hartford-steam-boiler-logo.png\" alt=\"hsb logo\" width=\"340\" height=\"215\"  \/>Dyson has an insurance industry career spanning four decades. He joined HSB in 2019, eventually becoming the Commercial Director in 2022, where he successfully led the company\u2019s Sales, Business Development, Partnerships and Operational Teams.<\/p>\n<p>In 2024, he was promoted to Managing Director of HSB\u2019s engineering insurance business, responsible for driving growth through the specialist engineering and technology insurer\u2019s core insurance products<\/p>\n<p>Andrew Burke, Chief Executive Officer of HSB, will now commence the formal search for Dyson\u2019s successor, which will include considering internal and external candidates.<\/p>\n<p>Dyson\u2019s career in insurance began in 1986 at National Vulcan Engineering Group (previously part of the Sun Alliance Group). He has since held a range of senior roles in the insurance industry, from front-line sales to strategic leadership.<\/p>\n<p>Dyson commented, \u201cI am so grateful for everything the insurance industry has given me. I\u2019m also proud of the difference I\u2019ve made, and the success I\u2019ve been able to deliver throughout my career.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019d particularly like to thank the many people who have helped me, mentored me and supported me along the way. I\u2019ll be ensuring a smooth transition between now and the end of March, before moving to the touchline as HSB\u2019s biggest supporter and advocate as they realise their exciting future plans.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Burke said, \u201cTerry has worked in the insurance industry for 40 years, six of those with HSB UK &amp; Ireland, and will be missed.
