\n\tEXCLUSIVE: \u00a0The MGM+ series\u00a0Bosch: Start of Watch<\/a> has added six to its cast including Raphael Sbarge<\/a> (Task), Seamus Dever (Castle), Kenneth Miller (Presumed Innocent), Marco Rodriguez (Nightcrawler), Rafi Gavron<\/a> (A Star Is Born) and Ryan McPartlin<\/a> (Chuck).<\/p>\n

\n\tBased on Michael Connelly\u2019s bestselling Bosch book series,\u00a0the prequel series\u00a0is set in 1991 Los Angeles and follows 26-year-old Harry Bosch (Cameron Monaghan) during his earliest days as a rookie cop. The series will explore a city on the edge, teeming with racial tension, gang violence and a fractured LAPD. Amid routine calls and growing unrest, Bosch finds himself drawn into a high-profile heist and a web of criminal corruption that will test his loyalty to the badge and shape his future as the detective who lives by the code, \u201cEverybody counts or nobody counts.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDever will play Officer Hastings,\u00a0aka \u201cMr. Fix It\u201d, a blunt, no-nonsense training officer assigned to boots on the brink of not passing probation.<\/p>\n

\n\tMiller will play Fremlin,\u00a0a hardworking member of Cory\u2019s (JD Pardo) crew who keeps his head down and gets the job done \u2014 no questions asked, as long as the payday\u2019s right.<\/p>\n

\n\tMcPartlin will play Detective Mike Garner, a pigheaded CRASH detective who quickly shuts Bosch down for overstepping.<\/p>\n

\n\tSbarge will play Sergeant \u201cSunshine\u201d Finn,\u00a0a cold and meticulous sergeant whose rigid, detail-oriented standards spark fear in rookies.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tRodriguez will play Max Vargas, a grizzled ex-con whose return from prison threatens to disrupt his son Corey\u2019s life.<\/p>\n

\n\tGavron will play Restrepo, Cory\u2019s trusted right hand \u2013 sharp, loyal and never afraid to ask the hard questions when something doesn\u2019t add up.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe series also stars Omari Hardwick as Eli Bridges, Bosch\u2019s training officer; Ariana Guerra as Rosa, a rookie LAPD officer; Pardo as\u00a0Cory, a professional thief<\/a>; Azita Ghanizada as Stacy, an ambitious, razor-sharp lawyer; William Fichtner as Calhern, a respected defense attorney-turned-power broker; and Kathleen Wilhoite\u00a0as Helen, Bosch\u2019s devoted foster mother.<\/p>\n

\n\tThere is no direct source material for\u00a0Start of Watch\u00a0since author Connelly\u2019s book series does not include a\u00a0prequel. The story came together through bits and pieces from Harry\u2019s early years planted in various novels in the universe, with Connelly calling the prequel \u201cuncharted character territory.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tProduced by Fabel Entertainment, Bosch: Start of Watch is co-created and executive produced by\u00a0Bosch: Legacy\u00a0co-developer\/executive producer Tom Bernardo and\u00a0Legacy\u00a0co-executive producer Brian Anthony, with Bernardo serving as showrunner.
