{"id":22807,"date":"2026-05-25T00:56:11","date_gmt":"2026-05-25T00:56:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/22807\/"},"modified":"2026-05-25T00:56:11","modified_gmt":"2026-05-25T00:56:11","slug":"uber-weighing-higher-bid-for-germanys-delivery-hero-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/22807\/","title":{"rendered":"Uber\u00a0weighing higher bid for Germany&#8217;s Delivery Hero: report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Uber\u2019s\u00a0board met on Saturday to discuss raising its offer for Delivery Hero\u00a0after a major shareholder rebuffed\u00a0Uber\u2019s bid\u00a0that would value\u00a0the German food delivery group at more than\u00a011.5 billion euros ($13.39 billion), the Financial Times reported on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The board held a meeting in which it discussed the status of its takeover bid, the FT report said, citing three people familiar with the matter.<\/p>\n<p>Delivery Hero confirmed on Saturday it had received a\u00a0takeover offer\u00a0from rival\u00a0Uber, valuing the company at 33 euros per share.\u00a0Uber\u00a0CEO Dara Khosrowshahi flew to Oslo this week to meet Delivery Hero\u2019s supervisory board chair Kristin Skogen Lund, where he floated the 33-euros-per-share offer, according to the FT.<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.44428773;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"39477074\" width=\"852\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/delivery-bags-logos-uber-eats-128670675_67afb2.jpg\" alt=\"Uber Eats delivery bags and a helmet on a street in central Kiev.\" class=\"wp-image-39477074\"  \/>Uber is considering a higher bid for Germany\u2019s Delivery Hero. REUTERS<\/p>\n<p>Uber\u00a0approached one of Delivery Hero\u2019s largest shareholders with an offer of 38 euros per share in recent days but was rebuffed, the FT report added. The offer represented a roughly 15.3% premium over Delivery Hero\u2019s closing price on Friday, according to Reuters calculations.<\/p>\n<p>Uber\u00a0is now weighing whether to raise its bid again, the newspaper said.<\/p>\n<p>Several Delivery Hero shareholders also told the FT they were seeking a price above 40 euros per share for the whole company.
