{"id":23711,"date":"2026-05-26T03:26:13","date_gmt":"2026-05-26T03:26:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/23711\/"},"modified":"2026-05-26T03:26:13","modified_gmt":"2026-05-26T03:26:13","slug":"vodafone-germany-launches-5g-uplink-carrier-aggregation-tx-switching-for-faster-upload-speeds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/23711\/","title":{"rendered":"Vodafone Germany Launches 5G Uplink Carrier Aggregation &#038; Tx Switching for Faster Upload Speeds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tVodafone is introducing a new 5G technology in Germany which will enable customers to upload their photos, videos and files to social media sites and the cloud up to 30% faster.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThis technology, known as Uplink Carrier Aggregation with Tx Switching, combines multiple transmission channels used between a smartphone and the mobile antenna to offer upload speeds as high as 200 Mbps.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p id=\"inarticlemodule\">&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3O6vm9O\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">&#13;<br \/>\n\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"k2_lazy k2_lazy_small\" data-loaded=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/2026_campaign_1_728.jpg\" src-small=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=UTF-8,%3csvg xmlns=\" http:=\"\" viewbox=\"0 0 728 90\" width=\"728\" height=\"90\" alt=\"Comarch\"\/>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"k2_lazy k2_lazy_small\" data-loaded=\"false\" src-small=\"\/img\/images\/Comarch\/2026_campaign_1\/2026_campaign_1_150.jpg\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;charset=UTF-8,%3csvg xmlns=\" http:=\"\" viewbox=\"0 0 300 150\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" alt=\"Comarch\"\/>&#13;<br \/>\n<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tLike adding more lanes to a highway, it is available in Vodafone\u0092s live network and is initially supported by Xiaomi\u0092s smartphones, the 15 Ultra and 17 Ultra, with more handset brands and models expected to join soon.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tRaising upload speeds<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe smartphone can also alternate between two transmission modes, with one of them using MIMO (multiple input, multiple output) technology to efficiently optimise the uplink speed in crowded areas and indoors. While mobile traffic is mostly downloads (about 90%) due to streaming and web browsing, uploads are expected to grow especially with new AI uses, including in smart glasses and connected cars.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tVodafone\u0092s 5G upgrade follows comprehensive testing in Hanover, Germany, and in the Spanish city of Ciudad Real, where engineers achieved peak upload speeds of 273Mbps. The tests were performed under controlled conditions whereas real network speeds may vary based on the amount of traffic and other factors. Now, this technology is commercially available using Ericsson radio equipment within mobile base stations.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tAmong the first in Europe<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t5G Standalone<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tVodafone is contributing to the advancement of this technology by bringing together high-performing 5G Standalone (5G SA) network technology, advanced chipsets and the latest smartphones.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tVodafone\u0092s initiative supports Vodafone\u0092s rollout of 5G SA in Germany (the first in the EU) and in other markets.
