SUPERMARKET giant Aldi has confirmed that it is eyeing up Warrington again to build a new store.<\/p>\n
The German retailer is calling on shoppers in the town to help to identify the best locations for new stores.<\/p>\n
The chain is inviting customers to submit suggestions for where new Aldi stores should be opened in Cheshire.<\/p>\n
In a brochure outlining where in particular it is looking at, Aldi says that Warrington is among its preferred locations.<\/p>\n
The most requested locations will be reviewed, with the retailer investing more than \u00a3370million in new stores this year, as it works towards its long-term target of 1,500 locations nationwide.<\/p>\n
Aldi already has five stores in Warrington at Bankside near the town centre, Fordton Retail Park, Gemini, Birchwood, and Stockton Heath.<\/p>\n
Jonathan Neale, managing director of National Real Estate at Aldi UK, said: \u201cWe know how important it is for people to have access to affordable, high-quality food close to where they live.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat is why we are asking our shoppers to help us to identify the communities that would benefit most from a new Aldi store.<\/p>\n
\u201cOpening new stores in these areas means that we can bring great value to more customers, while also creating jobs and offering industry-leading pay.\u201d<\/p>\n
To nominate a location in Warrington for consideration, customers are invited to email NextNewStore@aldi.co.uk and state the location in the subject line of the email.<\/p>\n
