\n\t\t\t\t\t\tA New Hampshire man faces several felony charges in connection with a string of shootings targeting Berlin businesses and vehicles.Sources told WMTW sister station WMUR that investigators were able to connect the shootings with the help of video surveillance, linking the suspect to damage at an insurance agency late last year as well as a Verizon store where the suspect had allegedly complained about the service.Richard Devoid, 67, of Gorham, New Hampshire, was arrested and charged with 10 counts of reckless conduct with a firearm.WMUR’s News 9 Investigates has learned that Devoid allegedly went to a Verizon Wireless store on March 20 to complain about his cell service. After employees tested his phone, no issues were found, and he was asked to leave.The next day, an employee discovered bullet holes in the shop’s windows and siding, police said.That same day, the co-owner of J.C. Towing and Repair found her Chevy Suburban’s windows shot out just outside of her home. When she arrived at her towing business, she found six windows shot out, resulting in at least $15,000 worth of damage.”We didn’t have any business dealings with him, no tow truck stuff, no repair work or anything to his vehicles,” said Monica Pilcer, owner of J.C. Towing and Repair. “The only thing that we had was our first one-star review a couple of weeks ago. And we kind of assume that that may have been related, but we can’t confirm that.”Pilcer said she was troubled that her vehicle was shot.”We have four kids, so it\u2019s kind of alarming to think that somebody shot at our vehicles that carry our four kids pretty much everywhere,” she said.Sources also told News 9 Investigates that gunshots were fired at an insurance agency late last year after Devoid allegedly became angry over the way an insurance claim was handled.Devoid could face additional charges.
