And honestly, it’s an absolute engineering masterpiece.

Limited to exactly 918 units worldwide, the hybrid Porsche is currently valued anywhere between €1.8 and €3 million. But it’s not just a garage queen; this is the exact model that made history as the very first production car to shatter the mythical 7-minute barrier at the Nordschleife.

Wait, Doesn’t Alonso Drive for Aston Martin?

Yes, he absolutely does. And usually, Formula One drivers are bound by ironclad corporate contracts that force them to only be seen driving their employer’s road cars. But come on, this is Fernando Alonso. Do you really think he cares?

— Fórmula Directa (@FormulaDirecta) May 29, 2026

When you’ve won two World Championships, and you’re still wrestling a car into the points every weekend in your mid-forties, you drive whatever you want on your days off. Besides, Alonso already owns Aston Martin’s ultimate halo car anyway, having recently taken delivery of a bespoke $3.5 million Aston Martin Valkyrie that was specifically designed by Adrian Newey.

The Ultimate Hypercar Garage

Seeing the 918 Spyder out in the wild is just a tiny glimpse into Alonso’s absolutely ridiculous car collection.

By owning the Porsche, Alonso has officially completed the “Holy Trinity” of hybrid hypercars, since his garage also houses a matte black LaFerrari and a McLaren P1.

The interior Porsche 918 Spyder, a hypercar first introduced in 2013, on display at the LA Auto Show in Los Angeles, Calif., Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025. The car was an early adoption of blending plug-in hybrid technology along with top-level performance, including a 4.6 L V8 engine producing 599 horsepower and two electric motors adding an additional 282 horsepower.

But if you think the Porsche is the crown jewel, you haven’t seen his latest purchase. The Aston Martin driver recently dropped an estimated $11.7 million on a one-of-one Pagani Zonda 760 Roadster Diamante Verde. Ironically, this ultra-rare Pagani is powered by a massive 760-horsepower, 7.3-litre V12 engine built by Mercedes-AMG, which happens to be Aston Martin’s former engine partner.

The only downside to that massive Zonda? It apparently has a terrible turning circle. Just a few weeks ago, Alonso actually had to get a group of six local Monaco pedestrians to help him push the $10 million Pagani backward because he got it stuck trying to maneuver out onto a street without clipping the barriers.

Maybe sticking to the nimbler Porsche for the daily Monaco commute isn’t such a bad idea after all.

Is there anything more Fernando Alonso than casually cruising around the streets of Monaco in a rival manufacturer’s…

[21181
27395,20600,8406
post-27004","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-porsche","tag-aston-martin-f1","tag-fernando-alonso","tag-porsche
["GET
