DHL Express Philippines is aiming for 70 percent electrification of its delivery vehicles by 2030, a key executive said on Friday.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe continue to invest in our fleets. Currently, 40 percent of our fleets are already fully electrified, as we aim to achieve our 2030 goal, which will be around 70 percent fully electrified fleet,\u201d said Roderick Queppet, vice president for commercial at DHL Express Philippines.<\/p>\n
He said the company now had a delivery fleet of 196 vehicles, with electric vehicles (EVs) making up 41 percent. The company started deploying EVs in 2021 and operated out of two gateways: Cebu and Manila.<\/p>\n
Queppet said they were now considering establishing a gateway in Clark, Pampanga.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re still assessing at the moment. We recognize the fact that some of the investments are going there,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
