{"id":31615,"date":"2026-06-06T11:40:48","date_gmt":"2026-06-06T11:40:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/31615\/"},"modified":"2026-06-06T11:40:48","modified_gmt":"2026-06-06T11:40:48","slug":"talanx-completes-liberty-seguros-acquisitions-to-become-second-largest-pc-insurer-in-latam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/31615\/","title":{"rendered":"Talanx completes Liberty Seguros acquisitions to become second-largest P&#038;C insurer in LatAm"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Talanx Group\u2019s Retail International Division, headed by HDI International AG, has completed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reinsurancene.ws\/talanx-group-to-acquire-latam-businesses-of-liberty-mutual-in-e1-38bn-deal\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the acquisition of the business of Liberty Seguros in Chile, Colombia and Ecuador<\/a>, making it the second-largest property and casualty insurer in Latin America.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-56464 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/talanx.jpg\" alt=\"talanx\" width=\"360\"  \/>Based on the results for the full 2022 financial year, HDI expects to boost the premium in these countries by altogether more than \u20ac600 million.<\/p>\n<p>Combined with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reinsurancene.ws\/talanx-completes-acquisition-of-liberty-seguros-in-brazil\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the acquisition in Brazil that closed in November<\/a>, the annual premium income is reported to likely increase by around \u20ac1.7 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Wilm Langenbach, a member of the Board of Management of Talanx AG with responsibility for the Retail International Division and Chief Executive Officer of HDI International AG, commented, \u201cThe acquisition is a major milestone in our strategic success story in Latin America.
