{"id":31780,"date":"2026-06-06T22:16:33","date_gmt":"2026-06-06T22:16:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/31780\/"},"modified":"2026-06-06T22:16:33","modified_gmt":"2026-06-06T22:16:33","slug":"mercedes-benz-celebrates-140-years-with-preview-of-new-s-class","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/31780\/","title":{"rendered":"Mercedes-Benz celebrates 140 years with preview of new S-Class"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mercedes-Benz is celebrating its 140th anniversary with an epic round-the-world drive in its new S-Class, while Singapore will also get a new Mercedes-Benz Studio.<\/p>\n<p>Mercedes-Benz is celebrating its 140th anniversary in 2026, and it is marking the occasion with a round-the-world journey in a convoy featuring three of its brand-new S-Class luxury sedans.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/mercedes-benz-s-class-convoy-5-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-287242\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>The journey is expected to cover 140 places spanning about 50,000km in total, and the convoy arrived in Singapore on 3 June at the IMBA Theatre at Gardens by the Bay.<\/p>\n<p>Their arrival also marked the first time that Singaporeans could get up close with the latest generation S-Class, which is expected to go on sale here later this year.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/mercedes-benz-s-class-convoy-4-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-287241\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>The three S-Classes started the journey from Stuttgart on 29 January, the same date that Mercedes-Benz co-founder Carl Benz filed a patent for the world\u2019s first automobile back in 1886. Since then it has visited around 20 countries across Europe, South and North America, as well as Asia.<\/p>\n<p>Following its Singapore stop, the three S-Classes will make their way to Australia and New Zealand, and then on to Africa before finishing back at Stuttgart.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/mercedes-benz-studio-singapore-render-1-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-287252\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Aside from getting a preview of the new S-Class, Mercedes-Benz also announced at the event the opening of a new Mercedes-Benz Studio at the SG50 Lattice within Gardens by the Bay.<\/p>\n<p>The Mercedes-Benz Studio will be an experiential space that will host product launches, community gathering and cultural collaborations, and is expected to officially open later this year.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"577\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/mercedes-benz-studio-singapore-render-3-1024x577.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-287254\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Singapore will be one of only 14 cities worldwide, and the only one in South East Asia, to have a Mercedes-Benz Studio, and Mercedes-Benz says that it will imbue the \u2018Welcome Home\u2019 feeling to give customers a comfortable sense of belonging.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"577\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/mercedes-benz-studio-singapore-render-2-1024x577.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-287253\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are incredibly proud that Singapore has been selected to be home to a Mercedes-Benz Studio.
