Volkswagen says that the move has been made \u2018in recognition of the name\u2019s popularity and heritage\u2019.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Both the California and Caravelle get a redesigned front end with LED headlights which are now larger than before. The headlights are also connected by a glass-covered strip which, on certain grades, is also illuminated. The gear selector has moved to the steering column, too, freeing up additional space.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"The California has also been given a new look\" class=\"c-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/BGMNO7W27ZM2RF4AFR73UQKTII.jpg\"  width=\"800\" height=\"450\"\/>The California has also been given a new look <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Caravelle models now get a new seating configuration, with eight-seater models gaining a layout which allows two groups of three to sit facing each other in the back of the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Both the California and Caravelle will also be available in a special edition specification called \u2018Generation\u2019 which brings a high level of standard equipment alongside a Candy White and Sunset Red Metallic paint scheme, which is reserved exclusively for this grade.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Further pricing and specification details are expected to be announced shortly.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Volkswagen has introduced a raft of changes to its popular California while bringing the Caravelle name back.
