Perhaps, on face value, these icons of their respective mediums have very little in common, but what they do share is a level of global recognition only gifted to the most revered works of art and, in their own ways, an ability to put smiles on faces.

Porsche and Pixar have collaborated on a trio of 911s, each uniquely appointed to represent one of the film’s main characters, to be auctioned off in support of three different charities. Porsche’s Sonderwunsch (“special wishes”) team took the lead here, with Disney and Pixar backing them up throughout the process.

It takes a big wing to accurately embody a character with a pair of deployable wings. Therefore, Buzz Lightyear is rightfully represented by a GT3 RS. This Weissach Package-equipped model is dressed in an appropriate white, green and purple livery, the wing itself done up like the design on Lightyear’s flaps. The side air ducts are surrounded by hazard markings, the magnesium wheels are painted white, and the Goodyear tires have been customized as “Lightyear” tires, a nod to both Buzz and the tires worn by the characters of Pixar’s “Car’s” franchise. A similar color scheme is used inside, the dash finished with a unique Buzz Lightyear character.

Tim Allen’s Woody is a tad more subtle, as is Porsche’s tribute, using a 911 Carrera T as its base. The paint may look coated in dry spots at first glance, but it’s actually a unique color and patina that tries to mirror the texture of denim, joined by red and gold accents. Denim is used for the front seat inserts, combined with brown leather and various shades of stitching, though the black and white cowhide floor mats are a bit more striking to the eye.

Between the two is Jessie’s 911 Targa 4 GTS, which receives its own new paint color: Jessie White Metallic, joined by 944 Cobalt Blue Metallic and Atacama Yellow. The red soft-top is a great homage to the character’s hat, the Targa bar’s typical scripture replaced by “Jessie” in appropriate font. As we’ve seen in the other two models, the cabin is finished in similar shades, including denim-looking fabric in the seats, while Bordeaux Red Race-Tex covers various pillars. And yes, similar cowhide floor mats come with it too.

As for how much each of these will be auctioned for, well, for the sake of the charities, we hope it’s “to infinity and beyond.” Proceeds will benefit the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, the American Red Cross and the Starlight Children’s Foundation. This isn’t the first time Pixar and Porsche have come together, their last effort resulting in the very befitting 911 Sally Special.

In 1995, Pixar released the animated children’s movie “Toy Story,” an instant classic; and in the same year,…

[21181
21245,26992,6009,31199,8406
post-34813","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-porsche","tag-21245","tag-carrera","tag-disney","tag-pixar","tag-porsche
["GET
