Mercedes-Benz Korea said Tuesday that pre-orders for the facelifted versions of its flagship S-Class sedan \u2014 “The New Mercedes-Benz S-Class” and “The New Mercedes-Maybach S-Class” \u2014 have surpassed 1,000 units. The figure was reached just four days after pre-orders began on the 18th, in what the company called renewed proof of its leadership in the flagship sedan market.<\/p>\n

The facelifted S-Class received the most extensive update possible within a single generation. According to Mercedes-Benz Korea, about 2,700 elements, accounting for more than 50% of the vehicle’s composition, were newly developed or redesigned.<\/p>\n

The entire S-Class lineup features an illuminated grille for the first time in the model’s history, along with twin-star headlamps known as the “triangular star.” Based on the Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS), it offers a more intuitive and personalized digital experience.<\/p>\n

Ride quality is considered the highlight of the car. AIRMATIC air suspension comes as standard, delivering improved ride comfort over the previous model. In particular, the “S 580 4MATIC Long” is equipped with E-ACTIVE BODY CONTROL, which was previously offered as standard only on Maybach models.<\/p>\n

A high-performance control unit analyzes driving conditions 1,000 times per second, individually and automatically adjusting the damping force and ride height of each wheel for a smooth ride over road surfaces. Rear-axle steering provides a base steering angle of up to 4.5 degrees, while the S 500 4MATIC Long and S 580 4MATIC Long can steer up to 10 degrees.<\/p>\n

The S 500 4MATIC Long and the “S 580 4MATIC Long” allow the rear seatback to recline up to 43.5 degrees, and the front passenger seat can be moved forward by up to 77mm, providing ample space.<\/p>\n

The Maybach additionally features the Maybach-exclusive driving program, the DYNAMIC SELECT “MAYBACH” mode. Set to make all of the vehicle’s movements extremely smooth, the mode offers the pinnacle of the “chauffeur-driven” experience. The Maybach S 580 is fitted with a V8 engine enhanced by mild-hybrid technology, while the Maybach S 680 is equipped with a V12 engine that combines unrivaled performance and quietness.<\/p>\n

To mark the launch of the new S-Class, Mercedes-Benz Korea is also introducing two editions, each limited to 140 units. They are the “S 450 4MATIC Long AMG Line Plus Edition” and the “S 500 4MATIC Long Sparkling Black Edition.” Existing S-Class customers who repurchase the New S-Class will receive benefits including a cash discount and an extended warranty product (one year\/30,000 km).<\/p>\n

The new S-Class is scheduled to be officially launched in Korea in the third quarter of this year. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is priced from 154 million won to 270 million won, while the Maybach S-Class is priced from 317 million won to 407 million won.<\/p>\n
