Porsche Korea is expanding its portfolio with the launch this month of a new model of its flagship sport utility vehicle (SUV), the “Macan GTS Electric.”<\/p>\n

The new vehicle combines a high-performance powertrain with an electronic rear differential lock and sport air suspension to deliver maximum output of 516 horsepower and peak torque of 97.4 kg\u00b7m. When using launch control, overboost output rises to 571 horsepower.<\/p>\n

Acceleration performance has been enhanced. The time to accelerate from a standstill to 100 kilometers per hour is 3.8 seconds. Reaching 200 kilometers per hour takes 13.3 seconds, with a top speed of 250 kilometers per hour.<\/p>\n

The vehicle is equipped with extensive features that improve driving stability and agility. The electronic Porsche Traction Management (ePTM) all-wheel-drive system and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) come as standard. The electronic differential lock is positioned directly behind the rear motor to enhance grip and cornering performance. Selecting the optional rear-axle steering can further strengthen low-speed maneuverability and high-speed driving stability.<\/p>\n

The new vehicle has the lowest center of gravity in the Macan lineup, improving high-speed driving stability. The sport air suspension lowers the body by 10 millimeters compared with the previous model and applies dedicated damper and anti-roll bar settings to enhance cornering precision.<\/p>\n

The battery is a 100 kWh (kilowatt-hour) high-voltage battery that can travel up to 437 kilometers on a single charge. When using a fast charger, it can charge at a maximum output of 270 kW (kilowatts), taking about 20 minutes to charge from 10% to 80% of remaining battery.<\/p>\n

The exterior emphasizes the black detailing characteristic of GTS models. Black-finished elements are applied to the front, sides and rear, with the addition of sharply contoured air blades. A sport design package also comes as standard. Key contrast elements\u2014inserts, side blades, wheel arch trim and adaptive rear spoiler lip\u2014are all finished in black. The new-design side skirts, which widen toward the rear, emphasize the body’s dynamic impression.<\/p>\n

The digital features also reflect GTS-exclusive elements. The 3D vehicle graphic on the central display shows the actual exterior color, and “GTS” lettering appears on the instrument panel.<\/p>\n

Porsche Korea said, “GTS has established itself as a performance model symbolizing the brand since the Porsche 904 Carrera GTS unveiled in 1963,” adding, “The Macan GTS reveals the character of a true sports car through its driving dynamics and acceleration performance, carrying on the lineage of GTS models.”<\/p>\n
