The brace made him the first USA player to score more than one \u00a0goal for the Stars and Stripes in a World Cup match since 1930.<\/p>\n<p>Havertz of Arsenal from the English Premier League, also scored a brace for Germany in their 7-1 pounding of debutants Cura\u00e7ao in the Group E opener in Houston on Sunday. Yasin Ayari, who plays for Brighton in the EPL, also scored a brace in Sweden\u2019s 5-1 demolition of Tunisia later in the day.<\/p>\n<p>Several other players have registered one goal in their teams\u2019 only group games.<\/p>\n<p>They are Germany\u2019s Deniz Undav (Stuttgart) with two assists; Sweden\u2019s Alexander Isak (Liverpool) with two assists; Germany\u2019s Nathaniel Brown (Eintracht Frankfurt) with one assist; Korea Republic\u2019s Hwang Inbeom (Feyenoord); and Sweden\u2019s Viktor Gyokeres (Arsenal) with one assist.<\/p>\n<p>Others are Sweden\u2019s Mikel Svanberg (Wolfsburg); USA\u2019s Giovanni Reyna (Borussia M\u00f6nchengladbach) and Canada\u2019s Cyle Larin (Real Mallorca), Korea Republic\u2019s Oh Hyeon-gyu (Besiktas), C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire\u2019s Amad Diallo (Manchester United), Paraguay\u2019s Mauricio (Palmeiras), Australia\u2019s Nestory Irankunda (Watford), Bosnia and Herzegovina\u2019s Jovo Lukic (Universitatea Cluj), Germany\u2019s Jamal Musiala (Bayern Munich), and the Netherlands \u2018 Crysencio Summerville (West Ham).<\/p>\n<p>The scorers also include Germany\u2019s Felix Nmecha (Borussia Dortmund), Mexico\u2019s Raul Jimenez (Fulham), Mexico\u2019s Julian Quinones (Al-Qadsiah), Scotland\u2019s John McGinn (Aston Villa), Morocco\u2019s Ismael Saibari (OSV Eindhoven), Japan\u2019s Daichi Kamada (Crystal Palace), Japan\u2019s Keito Nakamura (Stade Reims), Netherland\u2019s Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool), Czechia\u2019s Ladislav Krejci (Wolves), Australia\u2019s Connor Metcalfe (St. Pauli), Tunisia\u2019s Omar Rekik (Maribor), Cura\u00e7ao\u2019s Livano Comenencia (FC Zurich), Germany\u2019s Nico Schlotterbeck (Borussia Dortmund), Switzerland\u2019s Breel Embolo (Stade Rennes), and Spain\u2019s Vinicius Jr (Real Madrid).<\/p>\n<p>According to FIFA, the adidas Golden Boot will be awarded to the player with the most goals after the final match.
