The Tokyo-based firm will collaborate on connected, autonomous, shared services and zero-emissions (CASE) technologies, with hydrogen and logistics decarbonisation among its stated priorities.

Archion is backed by Daimler Truck and Toyota Motor Corporation as major shareholders, giving the new group access to both German and Japanese technology ecosystems in commercial vehicles. The firm carries forward the brands, production networks and customer bases of both Hino Motors and Mitsubishi Fuso from its formation.

CJPT was founded to address logistics challenges through collaboration between commercial vehicle makers, local governments, logistics operators and infrastructure providers, with a focus on electrification and logistics efficiency. Archion’s participation, alongside existing CJPT members including Toyota, Isuzu, Suzuki and Daihatsu, extends the consortium’s capacity in zero-emission and autonomous driving development for commercial transport.

The two principal challenges Archion cites within the CJPT framework are driver shortages across commercial transport and the carbon neutrality of logistics operations. Its technology programme spans hydrogen fuel cell systems alongside conventional zero-emission drivetrains, connectivity and autonomous driving—combining Hino Motors’ and Mitsubishi Fuso’s accumulated engineering bases.

Source: Archion

Archion’s CJPT membership consolidates how Japan’s commercial vehicle sector absorbs the Hino-Fuso integration into its alliances Archion Corporation,…

[21157
3427,33544,33545,33546
post-37310","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-daimler-truck","tag-daimler-truck","tag-isuzu","tag-suzuki","tag-toyota-group
["GET
