Shoppers are being urged to check their refrigerators after a popular macaroni and cheese product sold nationwide was recalled over an undeclared allergen.<\/p>\n
The recall was initiated March 23 and was classified as a Class II recall by the FDA on June 10.<\/p>\n
According to the FDA, the product contains undeclared soy lecithin.<\/p>\n
The FDA classified the recall as Class II, meaning use of or exposure to the product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences.<\/p>\n
The recall involves Park Street Deli Macaroni & Cheese, 20 ounces, packaged in a plastic tub inside a paperboard sleeve.<\/p>\n
The affected products carry the following lot codes:<\/p>\n
SUL4839705, SUL4839706, SUL4853771, SUL4853772, SUL4854698, SUL4854700, SUL4854701, SUL4855698, SUL4855699, SUL4855700, SUL4857735, SUL4857736, SUL4857737, SUL4857784, SUL4857785, SUL4866750, SUL4866751, SUL4866752, SUL4866781, SUL4866782, SUL4866783, SUL4866784, SUL4872813, SUL4872814, SUL4872815, SUL4873787, SUL4873788, SUL4886739, SUL4886740, SUL4887698 and SUL4887699.<\/p>\n
The FDA said about 58,405 cases of the product are included in the recall.<\/p>\n
The recalled product was distributed nationwide and sold at\u00a0Aldi stores.<\/p>\n
Consumers who purchased the affected product should not consume it and should return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
