This time, Abdu Mudesir, member of the board of management for product and technology,\u00a0has elected to leave the company \u201cat his own request\u201d to take on a role abroad. Mudesir replaced long-time exec\u00a0Claudia Nemat in the role in September 2025, after she left. One <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fierce-network.com\/wireless\/dt-board-member-nemat-leave-german-operator\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">analyst speculated<\/a> she left because she was blocked from the CEO role.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Mudesir will leave DT on March 31, 2026. Until a successor to Mudesir is found, CFO Christian Illek will take on his duties in addition to his own.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Analysts on DT-Mudesir break<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\u201cI would assume that Abdu has been fired; you don&#8217;t leave such a job after 6 months voluntarily,\u201d said John Strand, CEO of analyst firm <a href=\"https:\/\/strandconsult.dk\/team\/john-strand\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Strand Consult<\/a>. \u201cIf he had been offered a new job at that level (outside DT), it is a process that takes 6 months, which means that he should have started that process at the same time as he got the job as CTO.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Strand believes Mudesir didn\u2019t get the power and responsibility he wanted out of the DT position.
