Naver Cloud, which holds AI and cloud technology, and Siemens, a global leader in manufacturing automation and digitalization, plan to support digital innovation and productivity improvements at manufacturing sites through their cooperation.

Naver Cloud said Tuesday that it signed a business agreement at Naver 1784, attended by executives from both companies, including Naver Cloud CEO Kim Yu-won, Siemens Korea President and CEO Jung Ha-joong, and Tino Hildebrand, Siemens Korea Senior Vice President and Head of the Digital Industries (DI) division.

In particular, Cedrik Neike, a member of Siemens’ Managing Board and CEO of the Digital Industries (DI) division, attended the signing ceremony in person.

“It is unusual for a global business division CEO to personally attend a partnership signing ceremony at the level of a single country,” a Naver Cloud official said. “It shows the strategic importance of the Korean manufacturing market and Siemens’ high expectations for this cooperation.”

Under the agreement, Siemens will support the digitalization of manufacturing sites based on its data collection, interpretation, and utilization capabilities and expertise accumulated at global manufacturing sites, while Naver Cloud will add its cloud infrastructure construction and operation experience to jointly identify AI-based innovation models and integrated solutions optimized for industrial sites.

Specifically, the two companies plan to continue cooperation in various areas, including: strengthening solution competitiveness by combining Siemens’ automation, digital twin, industrial AI, and OT/IT convergence solutions with Naver Cloud infrastructure; expanding industrial AI and DX solutions based on Naver Cloud’s hyperscale and modular data centers and cloud services; and jointly identifying customers, expanding the market, and co-developing reference architecture.

“This cooperation is a meaningful starting point where leaders in the AI/cloud field and the manufacturing innovation field come together to create innovation at industrial sites,” CEO Kim said. “Based on an AI/cloud platform equipped with data sovereignty and the capability to respond to domestic regulations, we will support domestic manufacturers so they can tangibly experience the value of AI at their sites.”

“The manufacturing industry is now facing a turning point for new innovation and leaps forward. To secure competitiveness today, it is important to have a faster, more efficient, and more flexible production system,” said Cedrik Neike, member of Siemens’ Managing Board and CEO of the Digital Industries division. “Together with Naver Cloud, Siemens will accelerate manufacturing innovation by applying AI to the center of the entire process of product design, production, and operation, and will create new standards for future industries.”

From left, Kim Yoo-won, CEO of Naver Cloud; Cedrik Neike, Managing Board Member and CEO of Digital Industries;…

[21002
36648,28562,36649,8521,27954,36647,36645,6487,36646
post-42318","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-siemens","tag-cedrik-neike","tag-cloud-infrastructure","tag-digital-industries","tag-digital-transformation","tag-industrial-automation","tag-manufacturing-ai","tag-naver-cloud","tag-siemens","tag-siemens-korea
["GET
