Firefighters held a procession for Dover Area Ambulance Club member Kevin Brehm, who died on duty April 9, 2026.<\/p>\n

First responders, friends and loved ones from around the region will come together in East Berlin on Wednesday, April 15, to remember the life of one of their own.<\/p>\n

Kevin Lee Brehm, 60, of East Berlin, died on Thursday, April 9, 2026, after suffering a medical event while on duty as an EMT with the Dover Area Ambulance Club in Dover Borough.<\/p>\n

Brehm, who worked as an EMT with the club, gave 42 years of service with local volunteer fire departments, including Northeast Adams Fire & EMS, where he had formerly served in multiple roles, including as Deputy Chief.<\/p>\n

A funeral for Brehm will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, at the East Berlin Borough station of Northeast Adams Fire & EMS, 101 East Locust Street, according to the fire company.<\/a><\/p>\n

Prior to the funeral, a viewing will be held at the Feiser Funeral Home on Harrisburg Street in East Berlin from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., the fire company said.<\/p>\n

Following the viewing, fire departments will hold a short procession from the funeral home to the East Berlin fire station, the release shared, with a request for any available personnel to line Locust Street near the fire station at that time.<\/p>\n

“Everyone is invited,” the department shared, suggesting that fire companies planning to attend arrive as close to 9:30 a.m. as possible and should park their apparatus at the station.<\/p>\n

Overflow parking for apparatus will be available at the East Berlin VFW and on the west side of Locust Street, along with the former L&L Ford parking lot at 314 Harrisburg Street, the department shared.<\/p>\n

Fire police will be directing traffic and directing parking during the funeral service, according to the fire company.<\/p>\n

In his obituary<\/a>, family remembered Brehm for his dedicated service to the community, as well as for his love of hunting and “all teams Pittsburgh.”<\/p>\n

A decade ago, Brehm was among EMS providers from Adams Regional EMS awarded a citation from the Emergency Health Services Federation during a ceremony in Harrisburg<\/a>, recognizing Brehm in 2016 for a 25 years of service as an EMT.<\/p>\n

Family of Brehm requested, in lieu of flowers, that anyone wishing to honor Brehm’s service consider donating to the Northeast Adams Fire & EMS<\/a>, 101 E. Locust St. East Berlin, or the Dover Area Ambulance Club<\/a>, 40 East Canal St. Dover.<\/p>\n
