Tennessee Athletics officially entered a new era with Adidas this week as the Vols\u2019 athletic department shifts to the iconic three-stripe brand for its uniforms and merchandise for the next 10 years. Tennessee had been with Nike since 2015, but announced the switch to Adidas last summer and officially made the move this week.<\/p>\n

Tennessee is reportedly using a multi-day rollout for the uniform reveals next week. According to Knox News\u2019 Adam Sparks<\/a>, Tennessee will unveil the orange uniforms on July 6, white uniforms on July 7, Summitt Blue uniforms on July 8, and Dark Mode uniforms on July 9.<\/p>\n

While Tennessee fans anxiously await the full drops next week, Adidas and VFL Peyton Manning teased the new era and new uniforms with a hype video on Thursday. The video shows an up-close look at Manning sporting the Vols\u2019 new orange football jersey, with the Adidas logo and new number font.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re fortunate, had a partner that wanted to make us their flagship school,\u201d Tennessee HC Josh Heupel said about the switch to Adidas last August.<\/a> \u201cThat\u2019s going to happen in a lot of different ways and going to be a benefit to our football program. But this athletic department as a whole too. Had an opportunity to come talk to some other guys and I think everybody\u2019s really excited that, again, we\u2019re going to be the flagship school for them and it\u2019s going to provide a lot of unique opportunities for our players both on and off the field.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tennessee previously partnered with Adidas from 1995-2015 during a stretch that saw Tennessee football win the 1998 National Championship and the Lady Vols\u2019 basketball program win National Championships in 1996, 97, 98, 2007 and 08. Tennessee made the switch to Nike beginning July 1, 2015, and wore the famous swoop while winning the 2024 College World Series.<\/p>\n
