(Concept plan courtesy of Denver public records)\n<\/p>\n<p>A second one-story, 19,432-square-foot store is planned at 9111 E. 40th Ave. in Denver\u2019s Central Park neighborhood. The project includes 109 parking spaces and would be built near a QuikTrip, Wendy\u2019s and Denver\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.denverpost.com\/2025\/03\/11\/denver-cracker-barrel-opening-new-central-park\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">first Cracker Barrel<\/a> restaurant.\n<\/p>\n<p>The filings come months after Aldi <a href=\"https:\/\/www.denverpost.com\/2026\/01\/12\/aldi-colorado-opening-stores\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">announced plans<\/a> to open more than 50 stores across the Denver and Colorado Springs areas, supported by a new distribution center in Aurora that is expected to open in 2029 and create hundreds of jobs.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese strategic investments are all about making sure customers can continue to count on us for the quality, affordable groceries and enjoyable shopping experience they love,\u201d said Atty McGrath, CEO of Aldi U.S., in a January news release regarding the grocer\u2019s expansion plans.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs we look ahead to our next 50 years in the U.S., we\u2019ll continue to earn shopper loyalty by staying true to what\u2019s made ALDI successful: keeping things simple and delivering real value.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Founded in Germany in 1913, Aldi opened its first U.S. store in Iowa in 1976.
