license.<\/p>\n<p>The ARDEP V2 main board is based on an STMicroelectronics <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnx-software.com\/2021\/02\/13\/new-stmicro-stm32g4-mcus-target-cost-effective-motor-control-systems-with-up-to-512kb-flash\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">STM32G474VE Arm Cortex-M4F microcontroller for motor control<\/a> with CORDIC and FMAC hardware math accelerators, and features CAN-FD and LIN transceivers, while the PowerIO Shield features 6 outputs and 6 inputs supporting up to 48V and 3A per channel.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnx-software.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/Mercedes-Benz-ARDEP-V2-PowerIO-shield.jpg\" firmware is based on Zephyr RTOS and supports UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services, ISO 14229).\u00a0 Firmware update (DFU) is supported over both CAN and USB, a bootloader and firmware loader are pre-installed, and the company also provides a library with samples and demos for CAN, LIN, ADC, DAC, GPIO, UDS, and a CAN-to-USB bridge.<\/p>\n<p>As mentioned in the introduction, the open-source hardware project is hosted on <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/mercedes-benz\/ardep\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a GitHub repository<\/a> owned by Mercedes-Benz, and you\u2019ll find the KiCad and Alitum hardware design files, PDF schematics, source code for the firmware, library, and samples, as well as documentation.
