{"id":54667,"date":"2026-07-14T19:43:23","date_gmt":"2026-07-14T19:43:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/54667\/"},"modified":"2026-07-14T19:43:23","modified_gmt":"2026-07-14T19:43:23","slug":"n-launches-volkswagen-licensed-e-bike-range","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/54667\/","title":{"rendered":"N+ launches Volkswagen-licensed e-bike range"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Luxury bike manufacturer <a href=\"https:\/\/eu.nplusbikes.com\/en-gb\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">n+<\/a> has unveiled a Volkswagen-licensed e-bike range which aims to bring automotive safety technologies to cycling.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Headquartered in D\u00fcsseldorf, n+ is known for producing licensed e-bikes for motorsport brands including the Mercedes-AMG F1 team.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The latest Volkswagen-licensed launch includes two e-bikes designed for individual cyclists \u2013 the Volkswagen Sports eBike and the Volkswagen Crossover eBike \u2013 that are fitted with automotive-inspired safety systems to bring passenger car safety to cycling.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/VW-SPORT-EU-SLIDE-22-1024x640.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39426\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cCar makers including Ford, Mercedes and Volkswagen have chosen to partner with n+ because we are a proven innovator, adapting the soul of the vehicles to two wheels,\u201d\u00a0Damian Cook, Founder and Managing Director of n+ told Zag Daily.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The e-bikes are fitted with a rear-view camera system mounted onto the handlebars to replicate a modern car cockpit. With radar technology, the camera gives the rider a live view of what\u2019s going on behind them, while radar-activated blind spot alerts signal to riders when a vehicle is approaching.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/10-VW-CROSSOVER-EN.842-1024x640.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-39423\"  \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The e-bikes are said to have a power of 250W, a maximum speed assistance of 25 km\/h and a range of up to 162 kilometres with the fitted downtube battery.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Integrated into the bike\u2019s top tube is an LED strip which illuminates red when braking and amber when turning. A Volkswagen-licensed helmet works alongside the lighting system, synced to the e-bike via Bluetooth to match the illumination during braking and turning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Offered alongside the \u2018Smart Helmet\u2019 are \u2018Smart Glasses\u2019, extending Volkswagen\u2019s licensing to the e-bike accessories as well as the e-bike itself.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Smart Glasses take inspiration from the heads-up display systems of modern vehicles which communicate navigation prompts, rear-view blind spots alerts and ride information within the driver\u2019s field of vision, without requiring drivers to look down at the cockpit.
