Photo by Bernd \ud83d\udcf7 Dittrich<\/a> on Unsplash<\/a> NTT Data Global Solutions launched an “Autonomous Enterprise” support service on July 16 that uses SAP Business AI Platform to help companies design and implement AI-driven core business operations, according to a company statement.<\/p>\n The Tokyo-based SAP consulting and systems integration company said the service will support clients from planning through implementation and operations. The offering covers infrastructure needed for autonomous enterprise operations, the design of roles between humans and AI, and the development of agents running on that foundation.<\/p>\n NTT Data GSL defined an autonomous enterprise as an operating model in which AI can run core business processes with a high degree of accuracy while incorporating human approval and judgment through a human-in-the-loop framework. The model is intended to integrate enterprise-wide data and business processes so AI can automate situational analysis, decision-making and execution more extensively.<\/p>\n To support the launch, NTT Data GSL has set up a new organization, the Autonomous Enterprise Transformation Office, to integrate advanced technologies used in SAP Business AI Platform with the company’s expertise in implementing, extending and operating core systems centered on SAP S\/4HANA Cloud. The organization was established in connection with the service launch on July 16, 2026, and will also promote company-wide AI center-of-excellence activities.<\/p>\n The service is aimed at companies introducing or modernizing core systems around SAP S\/4HANA Cloud. NTT Data GSL said it would provide support spanning concept planning, architecture design, implementation and operational adoption, and would cover proof-of-concept work, production deployment, integration into existing operations, operating design and effectiveness measurement.<\/p>\n The company said it has know-how in building the underlying technology required for autonomous enterprise deployment, including process, data, integration and governance capabilities tied to SAP Business AI Platform. It also cited experience in SAP Integration Suite deployments, the use of SAP Event Mesh to centralize business events, and real-time integration based on asynchronous and loosely coupled system links.<\/p>\n NTT Data GSL aims to provide the service to 50 companies over the next three years. It also plans to strengthen the delivery structure for the service around the new transformation office.<\/p>\n The launch comes as Japanese companies face labor shortages, a shrinking workforce, supply-chain disruptions and rising geopolitical risks, all of which are increasing pressure for faster and more flexible management decisions. In parallel, wider use of generative AI is pushing companies to automate and upgrade operations, while many still run fragmented processes and systems across departments.<\/p>\n SAP presented its autonomous enterprise vision at SAP Sapphire 2026, positioning closer collaboration between AI and human workers in core operations as a next step for enterprise software users.
