The Cayenne lineup is finally complete, with the all-electric variant joining its petrol-powered and hybrid siblings in Porsche’s flagship SUV range<\/p>\n

Porsche Malaysia has officially given local media a first look at the all-electric Cayenne Turbo Electric, and SAYS was among the first to preview the brand’s newest high-performance SUV.<\/p>\n

Set to arrive as a fully imported (CBU) model later in 2026, the Cayenne Turbo Electric will sit at the top of the refreshed Cayenne lineup, combining everyday practicality with genuine supercar performance.<\/p>\n

The sheer performance on offer is nothing short of astonishing<\/p>\n

Despite carrying Porsche’s historic Turbo badge, there is no internal combustion engine beneath the bonnet. The badge now denotes the brand’s highest-performance models rather than forced induction.<\/p>\n

Instead, the dual-motor electric powertrain develops 857PS in standard driving, surging to a staggering 1,156PS (850 kW) and 1,500Nm of torque when Launch Control is engaged. In comparison, a typical family SUV can produce around 290Nm of torque. In other words, this car can accelerate like few other SUVs, despite its massive size.<\/p>\n

To put those numbers into perspective, it propels the two-and-a-half-tonne SUV from 0 to 100km\/h in just 2.5 seconds before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 260km\/h.<\/p>\n

Porsche’s electric drivetrain is equally impressive<\/p>\n

Underpinning the EV flagship is Porsche’s Premium Platform Electric (PPE) 800-volt architecture, fitted with a 113kWh battery pack (108 kWh net) delivering an estimated WLTP driving range of up to 623km, making interstate driving in Malaysia less of a concern.<\/p>\n

The system supports ultra-fast DC charging of up to 390kW, enabling a 10% to 80% charge in roughly 16 minutes when connected to a compatible high-power DC charger.<\/p>\n

The Cayenne Turbo Electric is also equipped for inductive wireless garage charging at up to 11 kW, while its regenerative braking system peaks at 600kW, matching the energy recovery output of Porsche’s Formula E race cars.<\/p>\n

Managing that immense power is an advanced suspension system<\/p>\n

To manage its substantial curb weight, Porsche has outfitted the SUV with Porsche Active Ride suspension, featuring twin-valve dampers capable of actively pushing or pulling each wheel independently.<\/p>\n

This sophisticated system counteracts body roll during aggressive cornering, eliminates nose dive under heavy braking, and can even lean into turns nimbly like a motorcycle.<\/p>\n

Complementing the suspension is standard rear-axle steering that turns the back wheels by up to five degrees, making the large SUV surprisingly agile and easy to manoeuvre in tight Malaysian parking lots.<\/p>\n

The Cayenne’s interior is packed with futuristic tech<\/p>\n

Inside, the high-tech cabin features a curved 14.25-inch digital instrument cluster alongside a 14.9-inch front passenger display equipped with a privacy filter to prevent driver distraction. <\/p>\n

The highlight of the interior is the Flow curved display with a palm rest, which makes interacting with the centre console as ergonomic as possible. Unlike most floating screen centre consoles, Porsche’s Flow design makes it easy and comfortable to use. The array of physical buttons to adjust or activate certain features is a welcome addition.<\/p>\n

Despite its track-honed capabilities, the electric Cayenne retains true off-road utility<\/p>\n

The SUV is equipped with air suspension that raises ground clearance to 245mm, a 550mm wading depth, an electrically extending towbar, and a 230V power outlet in the boot.<\/p>\n

SAYS was told that the Cayenne Turbo Electric had an exciting excursion at Sepang’s Bay 13 Offroad Course, and was cruising at highway speeds on dirt without much complaint. It even managed to wade perfectly fine without getting snagged, thanks to the generous ground clearance.<\/p>\n

Porsche has yet to reveal the Cayenne Turbo Electric’s price<\/p>\n

With the arrival of the Turbo Electric completes a multi-powertrain choice for local buyers: the pure-petrol V6, priced at around RM609,000 and the plug-in hybrid Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coup\u00e9, priced at approximately RM739,000.<\/p>\n

Both of these models will continue to be locally assembled (CKD) at the Sime Darby facility in Kulim, Kedah, the only factory outside Europe assembling Porsche models.<\/p>\n
