{"id":61451,"date":"2026-07-26T09:36:29","date_gmt":"2026-07-26T09:36:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/61451\/"},"modified":"2026-07-26T09:36:29","modified_gmt":"2026-07-26T09:36:29","slug":"mannheimer-swartling-helps-power-eurowind-energys-enbw-acquisition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/germany\/61451\/","title":{"rendered":"Mannheimer Swartling helps power Eurowind Energy\u2019s EnBW acquisition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">EnBW agreed to sell its Swedish renewables platform to the Danish\u00a0green energy supplier.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nordic law firm <a href=\"https:\/\/iclg.com\/firms\/mannheimer-swartling-advokatbyra\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mannheimer Swartling<\/a> has advised Eurowind Energy on the acquisition of EnBW\u2019s Swedish <a href=\"https:\/\/iclg.com\/practice-areas\/renewable-energy-laws-and-regulations\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">renewable energy<\/a> platform, which includes approximately 120 MW of operating onshore wind assets, an operations and maintenance business and a portfolio of renewable <a href=\"https:\/\/iclg.com\/practice-areas\/project-finance-laws-and-regulations\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">energy projects<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Mannheimer Swartling team comprised <a href=\"https:\/\/iclg.com\/practice-areas\/mergers-and-acquisitions-laws-and-regulations\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">M&amp;A<\/a> partners Per \u00c5sbrink, Mikaela Wedb\u00e4ck Pizevska and Emma Oln\u00e4s Fors, associates Madel\u00e9n Gideonsson, Elsa Axelsson and Ludvig Forfang Righard. The team was supported by colleagues from the <a href=\"https:\/\/iclg.com\/practice-areas\/environment-and-climate-change-laws-and-regulations\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">environment<\/a>, real estate, corporate commercial, corporate compliance and employment and pensions departments.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">EnBW is one of the largest energy companies in Germany and Europe, supplying energy to approximately 5.5 million customers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eurowind Energy builds and operates renewable energy projects across Europe, including onshore wind, solar, battery storage, biogas and hydrogen.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The acquisition will strengthen Eurowind Energy\u2019s operational presence in Sweden by utilising EnBW\u2019s established renewable energy generation, project development and operations and maintenance capabilities.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The deal is expected to close during third quarter 2026 and is subject to approval under Sweden\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/iclg.com\/practice-areas\/foreign-direct-investment-regimes-laws-and-regulations\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">FDI<\/a> screening regime.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jens Rasmussen, Eurowind Energy CEO, said: \u201cThis is a business we know well, and it fits well with Eurowind Energy. It strengthens our presence in Sweden with operating assets, good addition to our current development opportunities in Sweden and experienced local colleagues. At the same time, it gives Connected Wind Services a strong platform for establishing and growing its business in Sweden.
